Privacy and data use.

WTM Broadcasting is a desktop app designed to run local broadcast tooling on your PC. This page summarizes the intended data behavior for the initial release.

Local app data

The launcher stores configuration, race history, logs, and camera profiles under your Windows user data directory. Camera profiles are per-user and are not bundled with the app.

License and purchase data

Purchases and billing are processed by Gumroad as the merchant of record. After checkout, our license server issues your license key using the name and email from your purchase. When you activate, the app sends your license key and your PC's computer name to our license server to register the machine, and re-validates the key online about once a day. The server returns your purchase name and email, which the app stores locally on your machine so the Setup tab can show which license is active. Payment details are handled entirely by Gumroad and never touch the launcher or our license server.

Automatic updates

The launcher checks GitHub Releases for new versions and downloads them in the background. This involves ordinary web requests to GitHub. Auto-update can be turned off in the app's Setup tab.

Crash reporting

Crash reporting is opt-in at build/runtime. If enabled for a release, reports may include technical diagnostics such as app version, operating system, stack traces, and breadcrumbs. Filesystem paths are scrubbed of your Windows user folder before sending, and the app is configured to avoid intentionally adding personal user information.

Website analytics

The website may use Cloudflare analytics to understand page traffic and performance. No advertising tracker is required for the initial launch page.
